Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress, known for the roles she played in Hum Aapke Hai Koun. The actress began her career as a performer in the late 1980s. She became famous for the film Tezaab starring the veteran actor Anil Kooor. In the next film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. Early on, as a teenager in the middle class of Mumbai, she began to learn how to dance. While still a teenager she tried her hand at acting, but most of her early movies failed. Eventually she became one the biggest actresses of Indian films. Following her wedding ceremony, she took a time off from her acting career prior to returning. In recent years, Dixit played a significant role in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was nominated 15 times in the Filmfare Awards. She won eight of these. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. She also has a reputation for social activism.
